Learmonth Airport provides a gateway to Heritage Listed Ningaloo Marine Park - home of the whale shark - a must-do experience in the Coral Coast of Western Australia. The terminal which opened in December 1999 has won a number of Royal Australian Institute of Architects awards for its innovative design which represents the coral reef.
It is situated approximately 36 kilometres South of Exmouth and 120km North of Coral Bay and services Qantas passenger aircraft as well as helicopter operators supporting off-shore oil and gas operations.
